I don't get how people say only 2015 feels like a "real nfs game" Heat feels like an actual game compared to 2015, let alone an actual nfs game, not only better racing but also better cops, two things that are missing in 2015. Even the atmosphere feels nfs too.
The most infuriating thing tho is hitting a cop at high speed to get a police chase started, trying to downshift and end up bribing the cops, losing 10k and resetting the heat level to 0. Just because of this I went from 130k to 30 k in about 20 minutes. Also when you are out and about during the night and have a high heat level, you racked up Bought Heat today and just started playing it. I’m playing the game with HDR turned on and for the most part it looks good but the colors / black level seems a little washed out for my taste. Was wondering if it’s just me or does Heat actually does not have any display settings in the game to adjust the HDR or brightness levels?
This is the info I was looking for, I thought it might have been mentioned that I unlocked it but missed it. Because it's weird that I already have tier 2 performance parts unlocked but still can't customize cars.

Long story short. Yes engine swaps are absolutely worth it. They can make a huge difference. From the obvious speed, power, and acceleration to even small handling buffs. Getting the right engine is the super hard part. You’ll want to do some more research online to find the best engine for the m5.
The basic gameplay loop of Need for Speed Unbound is much the same as 2019’s Need for Speed Heat, whose day-night cycle had players racing in sanctioned events in daylight, but increasing their
Change my mind. : r/needforspeed. Drifting sucks in NFS Heat. Change my mind. I really got excited for it when I saw the 180sx, and then the RX7, but drifting in this game feels really flavorless and like it probably shouldn't even be here. It's nowhere near as fun as in Payback or 2015, and that's my endgame activity, drifting all over the city.
need for speed vs heat
Acceleration at lower speeds is mostly based on power to weight so even if you have more power it doesn't mean you'll accelerate faster if your car is heavy. The "High speed" rating is based on gearing, power, and drag. So even if you have a lot of power if your gear ratios are too short you can't reach high speeds with a 5 or 6 speed gearbox
The driving in NFS Payback improved from 2015 and is pretty much the same with Heat. That being said, I liked Payback more than Heat because Heat's map was the dullest and most boring one out of the 3. Payback had the desserts, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam and much better off-road races. It's arguably the best in the series IMO.
